Pepco Holdings, Inc. to Donate $50K to Haitian Earthquake Relief Effort
The Washington, DC, company is one of the largest Mid-Atlantic energy providers

Pepco Holdings, Inc., one of the largest energy delivery companies in the US Mid-Atlantic region, is making a $50,000 corporate donation to support the Haitian relief effort following Tuesday's devastating earthquake. The money will be channeled through the American Red Cross of the National Capital Area.
"As part of our corporate citizenship responsibilities, PHI will extend assistance to aid the immense effort under way to bring relief to the Haitian people," says Joseph M. Rigby, PHI Chairman, President and CEO.
The company is also asking its employees to contribute to the various organizations involved in operations in the Southern Hemisphere nation.
PHI, based in Washington, DC, serves nearly 1.9 million customers locally as well as in Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey. Subsidiaries Delmarva Power and Atlantic City Electric provide regulated electricity service, according to the company, and Delmarva additionally offers natural gas service. PHI supplies competitive wholesale generation services through Conectiv Energy and retail energy products and services through Pepco Energy Services.
