TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 22, 2012) - Tembo Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TEM)(FRANKFURT:T23) ("Tembo" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Acting Commissioner of Minerals at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals in Tanzania has granted the Company an additional eleven prospecting licenses (PL) within the Tembo project area. The total area that has been granted is 26.33km2 bringing the total active area to 113.31km2. The license applications had been in Pending status and are now all active. The Company has paid the preparation fees for these PLs that are now being prepared for issue. Most importantly, the entire greenstone geological area and all the Company's priority targets for the 2012 exploration program and future potential targets are now included in the active PL area.
David Scott, Tembo's President and CEO, states, "All of the project's targets are now within the active licenses held by the Company. We are in a position to now mobilize the full drill capacity required to complete the 2012 program and test all targets and consequently our drill rate and results flow will be increased considerably."
