[INFOGRAPHIC] The lithium revolution: the shift to clean energy

With a bleak outlook on commodity prices and China’s slowdown for materials, the window of opportunity for clean energy metals like lithiumcobalt and graphite is wide open.

Used in the creation or storage of energy, these energy metals are the central component to lithium-ion batteries. The lithium ions move back and forth to charge and discharge the battery, while graphite is a common anode material for lithium-ion batteries and cobalt is widely used in lithium-ion cathodes.

Thanks to Capital Visualist, the following infographic reveals how the shift to clean energy will commence a lithium revolution.
