Converted Organics Inc has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Spirit Services Inc (SSI) for the development of an energy and industrial wastewater (IWW) treatment facility. The facility will use the Converted Organics exclusively-licensed IWW evaporation technology.

Under the agreement, both companies will develop a self-powered IWW treatment complex at THE SSI waste oil treatment facility, located in South Boston, Virginia using Converted Organics LM-HT™ Concentrator technology for the evaporation and zero-liquid-discharge of IWW. The equipment supplied by SSI will run on three recovered waste oil and fuels, biodiesel or natural gas fueled engines, with the waste heat produced via the engines used to power the Converted Organics wastewater concentrator.
