Veolia Environmental Services is reportedly investing roughly EUR4.1 million in its Stalbridge solvent recovery plant in South Liverpool to reduce the company’s gas fuel consumption. Veolia, UK’s largest recycling and waste management company, will put the money toward its location at Merseyside recycling and recovery.

The recovery plant would reduce the company’s gas fuel consumption by a proposed 90 percent while saving 5000 tonnes of carbon a year. The facility already recovers waste solvents from production processes and is an important part of the company’s pharmaceutical and chemical industry cluster.

There are four divisions of Veolia North America, including the solid waste collection, transportation and recycling. On the cutting edge of waste management issues, Veolia provides a variety of services for their contractors with solid waste activity rising to the forefront of many energy causes. In North America’s sector, more than 170,000 commercial and industrial firms work with Veolia in more than 1,600,000 residences in 12 states, the Bahamas and Canada.

An Australia based company formerly known as Collex, Veolia are the leaders in resource recovery and waste management in that country, standing out above others for its efficient and effective work. More than just a waste management company, Veolia prides itself on remaining aware of sustainable initiatives and solutions. As a specialty of the company, Veolia has managed to capitalized on this unique charateristic as it continues to grow in Australia and beyond – for more than 40 years Veolia has stood out “down under,” and continues to do so in North America as well.
